We have released v1.2 of the Knitting Yarn Calculator application on the iPhone. Here is what's new:
- Added crochet mode, alongside knitting for yarn length calculator
- Increase gauge size to 7 stiches per inch for hats and mittens
- Clearly describe the required range values for the yarn length calculator.
Awesome app, thanks. One thing you need to add--a skein calculator to answer the question "Given that I need xxx yards of yarn and that each skein contains yyy yards/meters, how many skeins do I need?"

ReplyDeleteI downloaded this app but find it is lacking one critical element -- the weight of yarn. I suggest this element be added to the factoring because everytime I have used this app with a known pattern, the calculations are not correct.
I think the app is a great idea but this one more element should make it a great functional app.

I cannot find this app ANYWHERE!!!! What happened? it's not on the Apple AppStore, nor can I see a place to d/l from your blog. It sounds incredibly useful, but without having it, how I can I tell? PLEASE advise. Are you working on an update? Why did Apple drop it. I have an iPhone 3GS.
